How My Work Might Benefit You

There’s a saying that goes something like, “Hell is meeting the person you could have become.” I share practical insights from psychology that help us close the gap between the person we are and the person we wish to be.

 I explore topics like:

  • What are the most essential ideas from psychology?

  • How can we change in lasting ways?

  • What leads to a good life?

  • How can we untangle ourselves from traumatic experiences?

  • What can we learn from the world’s wisdom traditions?

I focus on evidence-based, research-validated approaches to common problems. They’re drawn from the broader literature on psychology, mental health, and personal development, and combined with information from the many public conversations I’ve been fortunate to have with world-class experts on these topics.

There are very few original ideas out there, and our challenge these days isn’t having more good ideas: it’s understanding and acting on the good ones we’ve already had.

Personal development doesn’t have to be complicated. A huge part of my job is simplifying nuanced, complex ideas into actionable ones that you can take into your everyday life.
